I'm looking for a report (hopefully good ;D) anywhere from Sheboygan north to Sturgeon Bay. With the nice forecast for Thursday I'm feeling the need for a personal health day off from work. I'm hoping to go after some salmon since I'm planning on chasing walleyes this weekend.

I'm planning to get out Friday out of Algoma, same question-any one having any luck? Do I need to reinvent the wheel or just keep doing the same things I've been doing all summer?

I will be launching in mid October.

so advice is to carry on like normal? Maybe set lines a little sooner (60')? Spoons are still fine? I heard the flasher/dodger/fly combos are less popular later in the summer, can anyone confirm/deny that? I also heard that jplugs are more popular this time of year...

Matty, last year at this time we did well out of Algoma for 3 year olds on standard size moon shine spoons down 100 with a 2 color swr. also a deep green w/silver back hot spot with aqua fly produced a few 90 to 120 down. Some of my best fishing was at this time last year. Who knows with this years wind and weather Hopping to get out on Friday also if I can get the boat out of the river. Heard it's quite low. If your out give me a shout on 11. good luck Hoogie

Thanks Hoogie, I'll try to remember to turn the radio on... my brother is coming from Phillips, he has NEVER salmon fished in his life, so I'm really hoping to get him into a couple... I've been bugging him all summer so he could get a 4 yr. old but I guess he'll have to be happy with the chance at some 3's... I told him I want to be on the water by noon, and we'll fish til dark... my normal haunt is 80-120 fow...

Plugs in front, spoons and flashers out deep. If you get a few it's a good day right now

Heard fron Naz. He said before the last blow a few were being caught in front(Algoma) and some rainbows and salmon 6-12 miles out. I'll be heading deep unless something changes. Attachments:
