First thing I noticed was there was no official dipsy app. How close is the slide diver curve?

There's an app called dipsytroller on the iPhone that's great. Works for everything I run.

Think I'll stick with the trollers bible. Diver verified instead of running gear Into the bottom and looking at a graph to see how deep you are then writing an app.

Hi, My name is Andrew and I wrote these apps myself because I found a need for them while out trolling. I hope that those interested, (and with mobile phones) find them as useful as I do. Thanks to those who have already purchased it.
I have worked hard to make sure that the data in my apps is correct. All of my data started with the manufacturer data. I also was given a lot of data from sportsmen across the country, which I compared and verified myself. Torpedo Divers and Slide Divers were especially helpful in providing me with great data, and in a format I could put into my programs.... but from what I could tell and had heard about Dipsy Divers, the dipsy manufacturer data was not quite right, so I'm verifying it to make sure that my apps are accurate as possible. I will be releasing the dipsy diver app for android within the week, and all of my apps have been or will be submitted to apple (which takes a week to a month.. now that there is another similar app on the market... maybe longer ).
" Diver verified instead of running gear Into the bottom and looking at a graph to see how deep you are then writing an app. "
Just curious how you think they verified the data, if not by testing it in the water?
I've also looked at the app available on iPhone. It looks nice, I'm not sure who polycom is, interesting timing on the release (June 20th) but it looks like a nice app. Either someone saw the same need as me, heard about my idea or saw my web site in advance. But hey, that's the free market right? Also, I wonder where they got their data? Anyhow .. If you buy my app, you will know that the little bit of money spent is going to an American fisherman. Any money I make on this (if you dont count the hundreds of hours I spent building it) will probably go back into fishing gear, guide services etc... not to an overseas company.
If you have any feedback, problems or ideas about the product, feel free to contact me directly or through the site.
Tight lines! -ac

Is your dipsey app going to include dive curves for all sizes of dipseys, with and without rings, with mono, braided and wire lines?

Is your dipsey app going to include dive curves for all sizes of dipseys, with and without rings, with mono, braided and wire lines? Yes it does include the different sizes, with and without rings and selection for line type (braid/mono/wire). I will put some screen shots to the my 'demo' web page: www.acutroller.com/demo.html I don't publish any 'curves' per se, you just enter the dipsy and line type/size, your speed and desired depth... then it shows you how many feet of line to let out. When I look at the data in a spreadsheet graph, it does create a 'curve' as the depth gets deeper and the dipsy gets pulled further and further back. This was also part of my analysis to see where the data might not be correct. I'll also publish a few of my data 'screen shots' to the demo page on my web site when I get a chance. This is part of what is taking me so long to finish. The code has been done for a while now... making sure the data is correct as I wont release anything unless I'm sure it is working, and I'm shooting for 100%! I will also be adding different line types to the slide diver app in the next release. This is one great part about buying apps... you get any changes and improvements for FREE over the coming years.

I have n iPhone and I took a look at the apps. Very cool and great job putting in the time n effort to create these. On our boat we have laminated soreedsheays with the same data so I figured I would need to download them to my phone. But they would be very useful if I were on someone else's boat or if I were new to the fishing world. I will probably download some next time I'm out fishing and it's slow just to kill some time. And to be able to show them to people while I'm at work.
