Was anybody out this morning? I'm heading out for an afternoon/evening trip and could use a starting point after all this wind.

fraidknot - I have some gobies that I forgot to leave in your wife's Subaru a while back, I'll just put them in your truck next time you're over. ;D
lameduck - I usually don't have the radio on but give me a channel and I'll try to put up with the noise tonight. I think 11 gets some use around Algoma.

We only caught 2 smaller salmon tonight despite a couple of well intentioned fish calls that didn't work. (thanks anyway guys!!) We started out in 100' and headed deeper. The water was 74 degrees on top and was still over 70 at 60' down?? Really weird water temps and current tonight. We couldn't find any cold water until we sent the probe down 100' and even then the temps kept going up and down as we trolled. My SWR got tangled in the opposite downrigger ball twice, I've never had that happen before.
After we made it out past 200' with no action and nothing promising on the graph or Subtroll we turned around and headed in. When we got to 100' we finally started marking some fish but the currents and temps were still goofy. The 2 we caught were both on PK spoons and we had one on/off on another. Hopefully the water will set up before the weekend but as of right now I'd start around 100' and start searching.

Sorry man, my fish calls have been hit or miss this year.

I don't think any amount of fishcalls would have helped us last night. The speed and temp. were both going up and down constantly on the SubTroll. I was starting to wonder if it was on the fritz until we got inside of 100' and it finally started to stablize some.

We did well yesterday morning including a 20.75 but this morning more got away to swim another day than were boated. Still got some decent kings fishing 3-4 miles out. Best catches were made deep but it was too rough for me again, third day in a row, to venture way out. Weird on the water with offshore winds ... yesterday cold water was found only 35-50 down; today was 60+ down. Very odd, and very strong currents.
