Hey guys, hadn't planned on fishing this week-end, but with the good weather, and some fish around, the lake is calling. I'm going to be making the trip solo, as the wife has family in from out of town (funeral). Any suggestions of going north or south out of the gap, and what channel should I monitor for any of the locals who will be out? It will be nice to have someone out there to holler at, as I will be going it alone.

Channel 7 out of Port.
Sounds like many of the regulars will be out Saturday and Monday AM.
Fishing has been good in both directions but there is more traffic south. I'm seriously thinking of heading north to avoid the traffic zoo.
Good luck!

Aqua, did you mean North out of the Port of Algoma, or Port, as in Port Washington. I redid the post, sorry for the confusion, and thanks for the replies. Can't remember what I monitor out of Algoma in the past years.

Thanks RR, I'm hoping to find someone around the Algoma area, as I'll be heading out of there. Good luck!

I believe channel 11 is one of the more popular channels.

Channels 11, 68 and 72 are well used in Algoma by the private boats.
