Yup......this may be my last Super Bowl viewed for some time.......although it's halftime and the Pack is on top by 11, it has been anything but a Super Bowl.......Just some observations.....
1) Things start off bad when Lea Michele (following an entire segment on the Declaration of Independence) sings the wrong words to America The Beautiful....sorry honey, it's not purple mountain majesties (lmao)......
2) Next comes Christina Aguilera who (having been picked to perform our National Anthem well in advance) "Favres" it ----- did you happen to even memorize the words while you were practicing to over sing the song with one ridiculous vocal run after another ---- like Brett, I guess you thought you were bigger than the actual song.....
3) Probably my all-time favorite, one I knew weeks ago I would have a field day with --- Black Eyed Peas halftime show (roflmfao).....where do I begin?
Fergie, I now remember what your vocals sound like --- I stepped on my cats tail the other day and it was identical........you actually thought you could pull off Sweet Child O' Mine?
Usher couldnt save you talentless bums either --- Trying to sing "Ive had the Time of My Life" was the topper ---- here's an idea --- have some material that is, um, good!
And I thought The Who sucked last year......
4) Many Packer fans with tickets are denied access to the Super Bowl because their seats are deemed to be unsafe from a fire code standpoint ---- they are issued a refund three times the face value of their tickets, which is about $1,000 less than they paid for them (non face value).........anything to try to set an attendance record, eh Jerry Jones?
5) Vulgar and terrible TV commercials for a family viewing event.....
Doesnt matter if the Packers win or lose at the end ---- this Super Bowl has sucked!

Man, I gotta agree on so many accounts. The half time show was a gagger just like last year and Aquilera botching the SSB will be video fodder for decades. The commercials were probably the worst of all time from an overall rating perspective. One has to wonder if company's marketing departments even bounce their ideas off common folk.
Fergie with Sweet Child O' Mine??? OMG was that brutal. How did Slash allow that to happen...

The star wars volkswagon commercial was the best by far. The black eye peas were terrible, half time shows should be eliminated. Maybe have a pee wee football game instead of the garbage that's been on.

Slash was there at half-time and that was OK, but the Who was more disappointing because I expected more.
MVP?------------- Dom Capers! and I'll stick by that for a long time. I was so against the 3-4 defense, and am really happy to be wrong.
p.s. I'm wrong a bunch.(its what I do)!!!!!!!!!

If you don't want to watch the game its up to you but I think you are in the minority as this Super Bowl set records as the most watched tv show of all times. Yea the National Athem got screwed up and the half time show was not the best but no matter who does the half time show or sings the Natonal Anthem somebody will complain!!!! You complain about the commercials well I hate to tell you that our kids hear a lot worse then that from their buddies on the school playground!!!!! I think we should all be proud of the fact that our PACKERS from the smallest NFL city are the WORLD CHAMPIONS once again!!! GO PACKERS!!!

Brent. I know you just won't be satisfied with the entertainment until Your favorite singer TAYLOR SWIFT performs at half time for ya. You Jackwagon Krash..... I knew that was coming.........We were fishing on Sunday morning and a Taylor Swift song came on and I almost became ill (lol)...... Yamatroller....... I couldnt be happier that the Packers won.........it was very disappointing to say the least that 111 million of us were subjected to absolute crap in the way of supposed entertainment...... And to suggest that our kids hear far worse on the playgrounds is a cop out.........that just doesnt make it right.......sooner or later people have to draw a line in the sand and say no more, or else the "entertainment industry" (talk about an oxymoron) will continue to test the grounds for what will be seen and heard........we keep allowing them to lower the bar, that's what bothers me...... Sorry guy, but I dont want impressionable eight-year-olds hearing commercials where a guy wishes out loud that he wants to take the girl he is with to bed or enjoy a Pepsi Max instead.......it was incredibly inappropriate for an entire family TV viewing event (remember , 111 million people, a record)........ The game itself was awesome, but you have to weave through tons of absolute crap to get to it......

Clam, I agree the pre-game for 7 hrs, the crappy halftime show, and the commericals just sucked. They used to be good, but the last several years they have really taken a dive. BUT the game was awesome. Wish the PAck would have shown up in the 3rd quarter, and Nelson would have hung on to several balls...but what a great day. THE LOMBARDI TROPHY IS BACK HOME!!!

Brent, I for one couldn't agree with you more. I was thinking the same thing during that Pepsi commercial. It was wrong on many levels for many reasons, but chief among them would be decency. The entertainment business IE: TV, radio, movies, video games, musicians etc., keep pushing the envelope in their pursuit for ratings and profits. Our kids hear worse on the playground for sure. But where do you think they hear it in order to mimic it? Common decency has been pushed aside for profits. It's one thing for a group of guys, or women for that matter, to sit around and joke about sex, violence etc., but let me ask this. How many of us, while sitting in a restaurant on a date, would publicly announce to the patrons in the restaurant that I am trying to decide if I want to sleep (have sex with) with the girl I am with or drink the Pepsi? If decency prevents you from making this public statement in front of everybody including the girl, why would you think it is OK for Pepsi to do it publicly? Please don't say turn it off if I don't like it. That's like saying, look the other way if you don't like whatever I'm doing no matter how indecent or wrong it may be. Crooks and politicians depend on our apathy to make a living. Besides, seeing the commercial for the first time and even with lightning fast reflexes, I couldn't mute it that quick after my brain registers what he said. TV is a part of all our lives. There is one in most homes unless you are Amish. It shouldn't be too much to ask for some modicum of expected decency while watching with your kids. I'm far from being an old fuddy duddy and I don't want to open a can of worms on this forum, but some things really push my button and apathy is one of them. There are things I would say or do in front of my buddies or in the company of some of the guys on this forum, but would never consider doing or saying them in mixed company or in front of my kids when they were young. We as a nation had to enact harassment laws for the work place because we lacked the decency to keep certain thoughts and actions out of the public work place. How ironic that in the work place and in our school systems, to name a few places, there is zero tolerance for sexual misbehavior, drugs and alcohol and profanity, but we look past it nightly on TV while watching our favorite shows.

Well put captdougie!
The "entertainment" including the commercials hit an all time low. Luckily for Fox, the game was great. Doritos seemed to be the only winner commercials wise.
