Well here it is Salty. ;D Heres the new boat I picked up a couple of weeks ago. 1979 seacraft sceptre (tsunami) Same as Big Easys on GLA It was a one owner boat and stored inside since it was 2 days old in Milford Michigan, which is odd in itself since they are primarily east coast boats. 350 volvo T-8 with a tr-1 gold auto pilot older helm auto pilot (replacing with a new simrad I already have later electric windlass electric b.j.mast icom m504 4 mag 20's with cannonlink h-bird 1197si with satelite weather lowrance x-37 depth raider coastal nightlights spreaders and underwater lights. I have worked on it nonstop for 2 weeks to get it rigged this far, I just want to go fishing now!!! Ill do some interior and trailer cosmetics this winter. [/img] So far it is the "no name boat"..If you look in the one picture you can see the poor old boat sitting out in the elements..... Dad and I had that one together. I lost him a couple of months ago along with the boat to a wicked step mother. The old boat was named "Rods R&R" which at the time I though was a dumb name, but it stood for "Rod and Rod" (sr. jr.) If somebody can think of a fitting name for it I would consider it. Otherwise It will be the "R&R II" As I can see it now this boat has everything I would want in a boat, except for a fishing partner..... Gonna miss you buddy!!!!!!!!!

Floorboy hit the ceiling with that one! You have one to be proud of my friend, and it could be named nothing other than R&R II!!

It looks great Rod!! I'm sure glad you found the boat were looking for, even if it did take a couple of long roadtrips.
I like R&R II for the name, it's a fitting tribute to both your dad and the good times you had together. When's the maiden voyage going to be?

Oh yeah. I forgot to thank You Fishoil for finding this for me... shakedown trip Saturday on a little lake around here. Wonder if they will look goofy at me. I have a tournament on the Missouri river right after memorial day then out to lake Michigan. ;D

Saturday just tell 'em you're trolling for crappies. ;D
Do you have the side imaging on the new depth finder? I want to see it in action if you do.
