I wanted to add a little bit of commentary on the Ugly Stik Lite rods that Mojo and Aqua had recommended to me to use for my wire line dipsies....... They were fantastic to run for the first time in so many ways ---- for starters, they tracked a single O dodger/fly, flasher/fly combo and j-plug (yes I even threw one out for awhile) extremely well by showing their pulsating movement and indicating a proper trolling speed..... Reeling in fish was very fluid and not herky-jerky at all with these rods.......the rod pounded nicely and was very visible when the fish struck the lures.....the action on the rods kind of reminded me of Blue Diamond rods but with some backbone..... I was very impressed with them and I thank Joe and Mike for the suggestion to purchase them.......I found that www.franksgreatoutdoors.com was about the only online retailer that really carries these rods (MDS 1186-2 MH) and they have them priced at $59 each.......not bad at all! I ran a black 107 MM Walker Deeper Diver on a three setting on the port side wire line dipsy rig.....thanks again for pointing me in this direction!
