typicalli i run six, i haven't had oppurtunity to run more, it isn't the easiest to find people stupid enough to get up in the middle of the night to be on the water fishing at 4:15 AM. What i like is the vesitility i am giving myself, if i want to stack on the rigger i can, if i want to run two dipsies, can, my basci set up is two down riggers with the rods in the far back position, then the dipsies, in front of the rigger and fianlly planer boards with lead core up in the midsection rod hloders running far to the outside, (frees up the back). I can turn the farthest back holder to the outside so i can run a dipsie off it, but now with the rodholders on down rigger, i have more options...will i always use the extra space?, probably not, but it is nice to be ale to move rods around when you have a fish on will i try to run more than six??...you bet!! I haven't fully experienced frustration in a long while so i feel the need to flirt with recipes designed sepcifially for disaster... four dispies, two down riggers, and two boards sound like a good statrting point, that ninth line might have to be a stacker just to be sure to get it all good and mixed up Early AM i will still only run six max regardless of what i can leaglly do, I have enough trouble setting up in the dark

I am in the exact same spot, I cannot find good fishing partners around here. I have two now, but one is my 16yoa nephew who can be a little frustrating at times and I have a co-worker who normally comes out with me but.... I would recommend running a jet diver far far straight back. I did that last year and actually got into a few fish, whenever that thing fires off though, I let the nephew wrangle that fish in.

Dipsy Divers Are The Devil lol thats funny Little Blue Lund. I take it you have not ran them since you had some problems with them? You will get the hang of it and always run them at some point.

Little Blue Lund......
Do you know a guy named Chuck by any chance? (lmao)......this slogan has a certain familiarity to it.....
You will be changing your motto under your avatar picture soon enough.....As a matter of fact, if you are on CLAM II this season I am gonna make sure I take pictures and videos of you reeling one in on a dipsy strike....

LBL, I think you're on to something.
I suggest everyone remove the wire divers from their respective boats.
;D
