Fished Sun. a.m. thru this a.m.. Most of the week was very nice water for fishing. Wed morning about 8 she started blasting pretty good and got nasty in 110. Didn't fish Wed. p.m. and Thrus a.m. On a tip from Black Majic Sun a. m. ran a Pearl J down 68ft. That pole took hits all week long. Ran the same J and other ones on other poles,3,5,10 color and other depths and nothing, but the 68 was consistent Didn't do as well solo, except for last nite, but with crew and more options did pretty well. Water is cold and fish are spread through the water column Would take hit on 68 ft rigger then next fish on 2 or 3 color.Tues morning after early bite, went 2 hrs with nothing in flat water and bright sunshine and then 68 ft J went with nice king and got that just in and back to speed and 5 color F/F went with nice one.. .Ended that morning with 6/7 with 5 nice fish and happy crew.Had crew Tues nite and Wed a.m. Had 5 at nite and 6 in the a.m. 8 of those 4 yr old. All trolling north in about 110 with high and low poles working. Wed morning set up in 50 and trolled east until we got to 110 and turned north. As soon as we turned and headed north 68 and 51 ft riggers went. We trolled parallel to another boat and as soon as they hooked up we would have a pole go. Happened enough that we were cheering for them to hook up. Last nite solo was a nite for the books. Fishing solo, because of the west wind humping pretty good.Didn't go out to about 7. Finished 5/7 with all 5 being 4 yr olds.Never got out past 80 and and 60ish was best. 4 of those came on Mag happy meal SWR down 31. Other one on 5 color with F/F. Wire dip out 100 took other 2 hits. During the week solo after morning bite or before evening bite did find some rainbows on spoons on 2 and 3 color from 140 to 200. Mag spoons seemed a little hotter than F/f for us. Didn't have any weigh fish, but some nice ones and good fighters, I think the cold water gives em more zip. Great week and so happy to have that fishery available to us.
