Anyone ever shore fish for Salmon in spring? I have read that shore fishing in South (St. Joe) have yielded migrating salmon in spring when ice clears. Any stories or recommendations? Would like to make it a road trip. Thanks!! rasmolarek@gmail.com

I've heard Portage, IN (3 wks ago), Michigan City, IN (2 wks ago), Lakeside, MI (last week), and Bridgman, MI (last weekend)...I heard reports of limiting in all of these areas! St. Joseph, MI has been painfully slow but based on these reports it should be heating up soon. Hopefully! Has anyone heard any positive reports of where the Coho are good this week? And what about depth and optimal water temp..

They are already deep. The Coho Run was a month early this year. The March warmth pushed the majority right on out deep early.
