Great Friday nite Salmon action in St Joe.I think I boated 14 of 19 with lots of short Kings in the 3-5 lb range that I released.Kept a large Coho about 10lb and 4 nice Kings with the largest being 22lb.Lost a couple of rippers and had some short strikes.Action still in 95 to 110 ft 65 to 95 ft down on riggers and 190 ft on braid dipsey rod.Assorted spoons and dodger fly combos-they were hitting everything I dropped in the water.Lots of doubles and even a triple header.Had to stay away from the edge of the boat to eat a sandwich!Ended up with another really heavy cooler -love Michigan in the late summer!

Salmon are not bass I think most will die after you handle them ,it would be nice if you went home after you catch all you need .Bud

Really? Salmon aren't bass? Does this mean I should keep all undesrsized fish that I hook?I guess if you are a fisheries biologist you can lecture me, otherwise please keep your comments to yourself. The juvenile Kings handled very carefullyand were released at boatside , not netted and swam off in good shape.Salmon do not have swim bladders and have no problem returning to the deep.If I catch a fish that is hooked deeply or bleeding it goes in the cooler as part of my limit. Thanks for your concern Bud but I will continue to release healthy undersized fish for the future seasons.Good Luck
