Thats cause there is no fish in Michigan and everyone goes to michigan sportsman's forums to brag bout there catches. Which forbids people of telling where they caught there fish!

Wow, you guys are depressing me. I just towed 325 miles around the lake to Grand Haven for the hot king action, and got skunked for the first time this year! The water is 67 f here.

You need to go over to the Wisconsin side. The fishing is real tough from Chi-town all the way up to Frankfort. South Haven anglers getting some action way out. Try 175 to 190 ft., 70-90 down.

Fishing out of Grand Haven and went straight out to 200 ft. Finally found a couple steelies real shallow, one as i was lowering the downrigger, maybe 10 ft down. Another about 25 ft on a dipsey. Blue dolpin and Happee Meal spoons.

went out of Holland on the 4th. Left the dock around 7 am. Went 2 for 4 with a nice steelhead and lake trout in 100 - 110' of water straight out of port.
The steelies were really jumping and breaking surface all around us. Lots of chopped up seaweed and sea fleas in the water.
Most action was in the top 30 feet of water running 10 color leadcore and copper. Dipsies and super copper never went off.
The down riggers only went off once when the slimmer hit it and that was down 98' over 110' of water.
Caught steelie on carmal dolphin, laker on mountain dew spin doctor and lost 2 other steelies on different colored spoons.

You need a good cold front with strong north wind following by some east and the fish will be stacked at the pier head, about 3-4 weeks away.

32 lb. king was caught and officially weighed in at Ludington last Thursday. We were there for 4 days and got some steelhead and a few kings. Fishing is tough overall.
