I got a transient slip in Port this Thur-Sun. Any advise on good burger joints within stumbling distance of the marina is welcomed. Thanks, Luke.

You have quite a few options close to the Marina.....
First choice hands down for me is Schooners Pub, which is kitty corner from the Holiday Inn........they serve Elk Burgers, Buffalo Burgers, Chicken Sandwiches, Steak Sandwiches, etc.....very good food ---- and Spotted Cow on tap as icing on the cake!
You also have everything from a nice Deli overlooking the charter slips, a Subway within walking distance and a few other restaurants like Harrys, Mandi's, Tellos, Deano's, Newport Shores and John's Pizzeria....

BUT, as Big Fish Barry and I found out the hard way last year.... don't go thinking you will find a burger after about 8 PM, they are all closed! (this was on a weeknight however)

Is Jimmy's gourmet pizza place still in Port? That used to be real good.

Jimmy's is no longer.
Try John's Pizza - Red/White Striped Awning on Main St. We usually pull in there about 10PM after cleaning our fish on Friday nite. They are open til 11PM

I had dinner at Tello's tonight (they serve food until 10 p.m.).......the burger I had was really good, unlike the breakfast we had at the large fishermen get together a few months ago.....

I'm thinking Tellos is a good place. It was just that the time we gathered there, we over-powered them with 16 or so people at once.
The Patty Melt at Harry's is a better sandwich that I ever expected them to serve, and would recommend it to anyone!
And don't forget Mandi's. Good food and large portions, or at least it was so when I was there last!

One place I would highly recommend is is Deanos. They have great food and many local beer choices. The owner of Deanos Steakhouse in Belgium, WI opened up this sports bar and also offers shuttle services to his steakhouse in Belgium if you so wish to go that route.
It's located right next to Mandi's and has outdoor seating in the summer. Give it a shot.

I will second Aquaholic... If you are looking for a good steak head to Deano's in Belgium... Great wine selection there as well as the beer...

How late does Deano's serve? I thought the food was good the 2 times I've eaten there. On nice nights, it would be great to be able to sit outside on their patio and have a beverage or four while waiting on a burger.
