Today I was the bug and a big serving of humble pie. Left the dock 0400 and pounded our way out in heavy seas to 80fow just north of the green can. Proceeded to fish in that area from 80-110 finding 63 on the surface and 30 down ranged from 44 to 52. That is until later AM when rose to 62 in places from the north wind bringing in warm water. Tried a lot of my usual than a lot of not usual stuff and only 1 for 2 by 530. I could not get anything to go not even a drive by. In desperation put on a spin n glo and white dodger and bounced the rigger on the bottom and fooled 2 LT 85fow. At least something for their smoker.
Lucky for me I was with a couple of fisherman who know anyone can have a bad day. Shared lots of walleye and pan fish stories plus Canada trips and salt water fishing. Finally the seas calmed a bit so the ride in wasn’t as bad as the ride out.

Still waiting on my next trip and rematch. Son is very busy with work, so who knows?? We are hoping for a shot this week-end if weather window stays open. Wishing you better "Catching," on your next trip out. Stories, always seem to fit in pretty darn well on those, hummmmm--days! Stay well and better fishing, TTYL... crayseacoot
