For 2017 the DNR is keeping the stocking levels for Chinook and coho the same as 2016, not reducing them like they originally proposed. They are also making a small increase in the amount of steelhead stocked and cutting the amount of lake trout and brown trout stocked by more than half. The decision on the part of your DNR to keep king stocks the same and cut browns is not proving to be a popular one around the rest of the lake. Lots of strong opinions about it all from the MI side I am reading... But if you guys have all the bait, then you should be fine with all the bait-eating fish!
