Right now we are experiencing fantastic perch action out of ports from Sturgeon Point to Dunkirk. Jumbos, jacks whatever you want to call them, a lot of the fish that are being caught are from 11 to 14 inches. I had clients out that limited out at 250 perch for the boat (50 per person)
The Bass action is is turning on 6/18 on my GR8 Lakes Fishing charter a client caught 2 six pound smallies and a 5.5 smallie and numerous bass in the 3 pound range.
Walleye bite was slow the past week after several weeks of exceptional catches. Reports of huge schools of walleye gathering in water depths from 65 to 80 feet from Sturgeon Point to Dunkirk. Some walleye in closer to shore have been making the trips easier and cooperating more. Stickbaits and worm-harnesses are all working.
