5/28 pm
I made a solo run Friday pm and ended up 6-7 with 1 released. My fish came from 94-150fow.
2-3: BW UV meat rig and blade down 85' (oh yeah, on a wee bit o'meat - red whole)
1-1: reg Pro King gold/orange spoon off 3 colors (bow)
2-2: green crinkle fly/green Inticer off SWR down 47' and 54'
1-1: some Moonshine spoon off SWR
0-0: full core with various spoons after pulling 3 color
5/29 am
Getting to fish with Red Rider is always a treat for me. I had Reid and some bear hunting guide friends of ours.
We setup inside of 100fow and had action in the dark but we only started 1-4. We ended the morning 21 for may 28ish or so with 2 of them released. Reid has a pic of the fish. Two of our Kings were 14.5# and we had a couple 9# Bows. Our first 3 Kings today were over 12# and we lost 2 today as a double with one being upper teens and only 1' from the net. Dang...
I can't remember it all but we did OK off 2, 3, 5, and 7 colors with 1 hit off 3/8 keel weight and 1 full core hit. The 5color was an Opti flamethrower blade and like colored BW fly. I think it was 3-3. The rest were all spoons of various sorts.
We did OK off 3 riggers with one heck of a lot of bait changes. We probably did equally as well with blades/flies and spoons. Our dipsey pgm was slow and we eventually pulled 2 of them (the inside wires) and they then fired better. A case of less was better. Meat (1 rod) was only hit once today and it was the bigger King we lost right at the net.
Great day with great people and great chatting on the radio with the normal list of Port suspects. It was awesome to see Gilligan who is POUNDING them with the full moon bite. It was nice to meet Reyka and LBL.
Thanks again for all the help Reid and for a great fishing trip!! You are amazing out there.
Note that pic below has my 5 fish from pm run.
