I woke up early this morning to surprise my youngest who has just been die'ing to get out fishing. I am humbled at how a six year old can awaken the child within. Knowing he has school in the afternoon he had a sense of urgency about him to try and do what he loves best before the obligations of life set in. We hit another favorite lake this morning before sun up. His little Zepco #33 would get a work out this morning as he would later discover. What a gift it was for me to see a brand new day set before him...every cast a new adventure. Dad were should I cast?? I answered just pick a spot that looks good...well he did and I watched as his line pulled sideways and I said I think you better start reeling William..".then the fight started" The fight persuade... as hard as this fish pulled and dove into twig's/snag's and what not he managed to tire it out for Dad to slip the net under it...he's yours William...the relief on his face was something I certainly could relate to. After that he acted as if he were a pro landing each additional fish into the cooler this morning until it was time to go. Why do we have to leave now Dad? "Try to explain to a six year old that he has caught his limit' What's a limit Dad? ....This is your limit ...dressed for school

Chris......
Wonderful story and morning for you early risers!
Did William ask you if he could bring Mr. Large Mouth to school for show and tell today?
William is something else ----- so is his dad.

Your kid caught more fish than I did, tell him I'll swap my Okumas for the zebco.
